I’m Chelsea Koontz, self-proclaimed nerd with a creative flair for photography, design and art of all kinds. I grew up in the mountains of rural western Pennsylvania and, while I’m currently available for freelance work, I’m employed full-time at a small production company doing projects for big companies like the New York Times and Coca Cola and local ones like the Heinz History Center and Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. My nerd-love of computer technology and art led me to nearby Frostburg State University where I graduated with my BFA in Art & Design (Graphics & Photo dual-focus) in 2006.
And I’ve made it my life’s goal to be as creative as possible toward everything I endeavor.
Seldom do I make my bed, but lazy, I’m not. On a deserted island, I’d go insane without photography, music and mascara. Storytelling, creative innovation, and visual art—no matter the medium—make my heart go thumpity thump; and sharing all this online with the world, plus as much of my professional experience as I can muster, makes my soul sing. I’m very fond of wiener dogs and love that they’ll wander toward anything… chewable. I like to drive. I can find humor in anything and everything (almost always inappropriately). I’m not perfect, but I’m still working on that.
